SUSPENSION BRIDGE PROJECT

We are excited about partnering with American Rivers and Sierra Fund to develop engaging trails in the Nevada City Community.  This is our second project with these two power house non profits.  Our current phase II project is funded by an California Resourse Grant totalling $1.3million.  This encompasses purchase of a large track of private property creating a continuous stretch of public property along the Deer Creek Watershed.  It will also pay for the construction of this bridge, restoration of creek side vegitation, fire fuels reduction and of course...TRAIL!

 

The Trail component will be to create the connecting trails from existing trails to the bridge.  Although only around a half mile of trail, it will be complex and difficult construction requiring many engineered sections where huge bedrock and other obsticals will have to be overcome.
